Delivery and Installation Services

Yes we deliver nationwide and we also have our own dedicated delivery team covering Auckland.

Please read and take note of the different delivery services and options available.

Nationwide Delivery

Nationwide delivery is handled by our prefered freight partner Mainfreight 2 Home.  

Please note, freight companies provide a delivery only service. Ground floor, door to door or door to depot if previously organised. They do not install items, take away packaging or faulty products. Steps and other hazards will not be considered. The driver will generally only remove the item from the truck and to your door way, level access only.

Main centres are: 

North Island: Whangarei, Auckland, Tauranga, Hamiton, New Plymouth, Taupo, Gisborne, Whakatane, Rotorua, Napier, Hastings, Pamerston North and Wellington.

South Island: Nelson, Blenheim, Christchurch, Dunedin, Timaru, Invercargill and Queenstown.

If you are outside the listed main centers and select main center delivery rate you will be contacted with an updated shipping quote which will need to be paid before your order ships. 

We reserve the right to adjust shipping costs to match the rates we are charged by the shipping company in the event that the goods cannot be sent at the selected rates

Covering the Auckland region we have our own dedicated delivery team. There are 5 different zone rates for Auckland, and different rates and charges apply for each delivery zone. At the time of purchase you can choose from a delivery only option or delivery and install (if available for your purchase) 

Delivery only is a door to door drop off service. The driver will deliver your item and drop to your garage or front door (ground floor, no steps only). He will not unpack items or take away packaging etc.

Delivery and installation covers delivery to your property for basic plug and play installations. The driver will deliver the product and fit the new item in place. He will remove all packaging and optionaly take the old item away for disposal (*fees apply, please click the link to see the terms above, and our full terms and conditions of trade at the bottom of this page.)

Please note, basic plug and play installations only are provided. Plug and play is the simple removal of the old item and direct installation of the new item. Should you need modifications to cabinetry or holes made for hose pipes, wall mounting for driers, extra electrical wiring or any other modifications that needs to be made over and above plug and play you will need to organise a suitable tradesperson to carry out this work. 

It is important to note that due to health and safety regulations our staff will not attempt any delivery they feel is unsafe. You must notify staff in advance of any stairs or hazards that need to be considered prior to delivery. Should we attempt delivery only to find we have not been made aware of stairs or other hazards prior to arrival your delivery may not complete and a fee may apply for extra staff to enable the delivery to be completed safely. 

Rural Delivery

Rural deliveries are more expensive than regular delivery. Often if you can collect from a main center depot or alternative address this can be much more economical as most items we ship are large and bulky and this compounds the delivery charges when rural delivery is required.

Please contact us or speak with our staff if you need rural delivery and cannot collect from a main center depot. 

Shipping Insurance

Under the Contract and Commercial Law Act 2017 freight and shipping companies in New Zealand cover loss and damage during transit to a maximum amount of $2000 (inc gst) This means that for items valued above this amount Appliance Outlet is at risk of high financial exposure if an item is lost or damaged during shipping. We reserve the right to require mandatory shipping insurance on items valued over $2000 inc gst when required in order to not only protect your goods during transit but also to protect Appliance Outlet from undue loss. The cost of insurance is 2% of the products value, we ship such insured items with Mainfreight only. You may opt-out of insurance by requesting us to remove it from your invoice in writing, in which case your order will ship at buyers risk with NO coverage for loss or damage during transit, this will include default cover.
